Research Support in the Pratt School of Engineering
Volker Blum
Associate Dean of Research and Infrastructure, Pratt School of Engineering
About Us
The Associate Dean for Research & Infrastructure is charged with facilitating faculty research efforts across the Pratt School of Engineering.
As one part of our work, we aim to support certain aspects of research proposal preparation, especially for large center-type proposals.
Please also ensure that you contact us early enough for support requests. For example, for letters of support, ideally contact us four weeks ahead of submission.
For details, please log in to the Pratt Intranet and follow the Menu links under Faculty -> Research Support in the Pratt School of Engineering or use the links below:
Support for large (center-type) proposals (requires intranet login)
Letters of support (requires intranet login)
For research proposals of any kind, Duke University also offers comprehensive information on the process, including how to initiate a proposal, assistance from Duke’s “Research Navigators”, etc., at https://research.duke.edu/myresearchhome/ . This resource can be quite helpful – please check it out.
